“The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved.”
Jeremiah 8:20
Looking at how things are moving now in the world, I am sure all of us would agree that the end is just a step or two away. If 90 – 95% of Bible prophecies have already been fulfilled, without a doubt the last 10 – 5% will surely be fulfilled in the snap of your fingers. While there are many signs and evidences that shows that it is the time of harvest, yet I want to share here only a few of these things which is very obvious that Jesus Christ is standing at the door waiting for the Father’s command to come back and gather his church to himself.
The Time is Ripe: Looking at the rapid development of science and technology, we can see, it has been a blessing to the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and it has enabled almost everyone, in the four corners of the world, to hear the gospel in no time. In the past, it seemed like coca cola travelled fast, everyone knows that it’s easy to get one anywhere. But now things have changed, and we thank God for the technology. Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt.24:14) This is almost being fulfilled, and it is my prayer, this will be fully fulfilled within this decade.
Brothers and sisters, the time is ripe and God’s calendar and hourglass on earth for his people is almost over. God is sending warnings and calls through many different signs for his church to be prepared, and I tell you, “He is coming soon.” The signs are very clear and coincides so much with the scripture like never before. The Son of man will come as soon as the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom is done and it could be any time now. Time is running out, what will you do if time is no more for you? And you have not been saved, what will happen to you if the door is closed? When Jesus said that it will be like the days of Noah, of course, he is talking about the deteriorating trend of the world in terms of morality, chaos and gross evil; but do not forget one more thing, “Then the Lord shut him in”. (Gen.7:16) in other words, the door was closed, and there was no more going in and coming out. Mark that it was the Lord who closed the door, not Noah. Be ready, for no one knows when the Lord will close the door.
The Rise of Evil: Paul wrote to Timothy and warned him, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.”(2 Tim.3:1). The word “terrible” used here is the same word used in Matthew 8:28 as “violent”, the Greek word is “chalepo”. In Matthew it says that the demon-possessed men were so violent that no one dare to walk the way where they were. That’s exactly how it will be like, in the last days warns Paul. Now, not only evil people is a threat to us, but the virus also which is more deadly than evil people has already killed more than 3.5 million people world wide and is still here now, moving around the world infecting and killing people wherever it goes. The rise of evil is being seen everywhere; be it in the government, society, church, politics, economy, environment, etc. and the worse is, it is beyond our control now. But thank God for praying people all over the world, who are praying and interceding for the people everywhere for God’s mercy and deliverance. Hell has unleashed the evils from the depth of infernal fire to infiltrate every society and family and to create havoc everywhere in this world. “Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled..”(Jer. 4:20-KJV), “…for everyone is profane, and an evildoer, and every mouth is speaking folly…”(Isa. 9:17-KJV), “Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shown difference the unclean and the clean…”(Ezk.22:26-KJV). This is exactly the situation that we are facing today. Paul listed down the evils of the day in 2 Tim.3:2-5 as if he could see 2000 years ahead.
The Personification of Evil into one person: All evils will reach its climax and converge into a person in the form of the Antichrist which is also the culmination of all evils. And Paul says, “…the lawless one will be revealed….the coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan…” (2Tim. 2:8-9). It is sin in person. By the time such a person is revealed, I believe, God would have taken his Church home to be with him eternally. This is the hope and prayer of the saints of God, to be with the Bridegroom forever. While the world here is burning in untold suffering and chaos, the saints on the other side be praising the Lamb forever and ever in heaven. Are we prepared for this great and magnificent meeting? Come Lord Jesus, Amen
