power of confession
“… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
there is great power in our confession of Jesus and in our acceptance of Him as our LORD. The holy bible says,
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which WE must be saved.” ―Acts 4:12
When Adam, the first man, chose to violate the law of God; it wasn’t a mere disobedience; in essence, he had willfully denied the Lordship to God.
Disobedience is denying Lordship to God.
And his act of rebellion was transactional―inviting the devil to Lord over his life instead.
“Know ye not, that to WHOM ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to WHOM ye obey…”? ―Romans 6:16
This act of disobedience was disastrous, because Adam not only died spiritually but also became a slave of sin and satan. In pursuit of playing God, he lost God’s super abundant blessing―both communion with God and the access to immortality.
But our confession can change things around. Our standing with God and eternal destiny can change forever through our confession of Jesus’ name. Our confession is powerful because our confession is transactional too; it brings us back into right standing with God. As Adam willfully denied the Lordship to God and died; we can willfully place Jesus to be the LORD over us through confession of His Lordship and live. His Lordship brings salvation―victory over sin and death and over everything else, for the salvation belongs to the LORD.
Our confession is transactional; for it brings us back into right standing with God.
Our confession and acceptance of His Lordship opens the doorways into His divine provision―His righteousness, peace, joy & every other heavenly blessings. Salvation belongs to the LORD and it can become our daily experience, when we place Jesus to be the LORD over our life.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” – Romans 10:13. And His name is Jesus. Confess Jesus and experience the saving power of God. Amen
