When Adam chose to violate the law of God, it wasn’t a mere disobedience. In essence, he had willfully sinned and denied Lordship to God. His rebellion was transactional, inviting devil to Lord over him instead. (Romans 6:16). The result was disastrous – Adam died spiritually. In pursuit of playing God over his life, he lost God’s super abundant blessings; but above all- even access to the tree of life.
But we can change things around us through our confession. Our confession is transactional; it brings us back into right standing with God. As Adam willfully denied the Lordship to God and died, we can live by willfully placing Jesus as the Lord over our lives. His Lordship brings salvation – victory over sin and death. Our confession of His Lordship opens the doorways into his divine provision – His righteousness, peace & joy. Salvation belongs to the Lord and it can become our daily experience, when we place Jesus as the Lord of our life.
